Our Philosophy

• Critical thinking is the basis for knowledge and creativity, all that exists can be the subject of thought and every thought can be criticized and improved. Critical thinking is the ability to face and solve problems. It is the ability to visualize other options and alternate solutions as well as experiment with new methods; it is the basis for contemporary education.

• Equality is the essence of justice and the basis for ethical behavior. Therefore, the child's ethics and behaviors must be developed to enable him/her to use critical thinking for progress and positive construction.
   
• Human societies are no longer confined to their local surroundings. Multiculturalism is prevailing and diversity is becoming the norm. It is important to teach our children to understand and accept those who are different. Belonging to a homeland does not and should not contradict a person's sense of belonging to the world.
   
• The educational process is a dynamic one. This process cannot be completed unless both teacher and student have a horizontal relationship rather than a vertical one and that they are both sharing a learning experience which is based on mutual respect. The student-teacher relationship should also be based on compassion and dialogue.
   
• Mashrek International School believes that all children have the right to a healthy and secure education, as well as the right to express their opinions and ideas which in turn allows them to progress.
   
• The School advocates for 21st Century readiness for every student by enhancing their skills in critical thinking, collaboration, communication, problem solving, creativity and innovation with substantial emphasis on technology as an essential communication skill.  

الفلسفة العامة للمدرسة

• التفكير الناقد هو أساس القدرة على التكيف مع الحياة وحل المشكلات، وأساس المعرفة والقدرة على الإبداع. والمعرفة مهما كان موضوعها أو غايتها لا تتحقق بالتلقين والتحفيظ، وإنما بتحرير العقل من الغيبيات والمسلمات التقليدية.
•  التفكير الناقد هو أساس المعرفة والإبداع، فجميع المعارف بنيت على فكرة وكل فكرة معرضة للانتقاد والتحسين. التفكير الناقد هو امكانية مواجهة وحل المشاكل وامكانية تخيل الخيارات الاخرى والحلول البديلة مع استخدام طرق جديدة  للاختبار، وهو أيضا أساس التعليم المعاصر.
•  المساواة هي جوهر العدل وأساس التصرف الأخلاقي. لذلك، يجب تطوير أخلاق و تصرفات الطفل بما يمكنه من استخدام التفكير الناقد كأساس للتطور الايجابي.
•   لم تعد المجتمعات البشرية مغلقة، فاختلاط الشعوب والأمم وتفاعلها معا يزداد يوما بعد يوم رغم اختلافها في النظم الثقافية والاجتماعية والدينية. والأمر في غاية الأهمية أن نُعلّم الأطفال كيف يقبلون ويفهمون ويحترمون أولئك الذين يختلفون عنهم في تلك النظم.
• الانتماء للوطن لا يتعارض ولا يتناقض مع الانتماء للمجتمع البشري عند الإنسان العاقل، فالمواطن العالمي الجيد هو بالضرورة مواطن جيد في وطنه.
• العملية التعليمية، عملية دينامية بين طرفين هما: المعلم والتلميذ، وهما كيانان مستقلان، كل له قيمة في ذاته، وعلى هذا الأساس تتحدد العلاقة الإنسانية بينهما بكونها علاقة أفقية وليست عاموديه.. علاقة تقوم على الاحترام المتبادل والمحبة المتبادلة يسودها الحوار والسؤال والاستفسار بمعزل عن التسلطية الإرهابية التي يمارسها الكبار مع الصغار أحياناً.
•  تؤمن مدرسة المشرق بحق جميع الاطفال بالحصول على تعليم صحي وامن ، مع حقهم بالتعبير عن اراءهم  وأفكارهم التي تمكنهم من التطور
•  تُعزّز المدرسة جميع طلبتها بمهارات القرن الواحد والعشرين المختلفة، كالتفكير الناقد، والتعاون، والتواصل، وحل المشكلات، والإبداع والابتكار، مع التركيز على استخدام التكنولوجيا كمهارة أساسية للتواصل.
